Top 9 WordPress Plugins for Creating Landing Pages That Convert

Top 9 WordPress Plugins for Creating Landing Pages That Convert

Generating traffic to your website takes a lot of time and effort.

Sending out email blasts, setting up expensive PPC campaigns, or creating FB Ads is hard work.

Deciding where to drive traffic can be tricky. Your homepage is definitely important, but it’s not always the best choice. Each campaign you run should be directed to the specific page that’s designed to convert for that particular ad.

Thrive ArchitectyesPlugin$134
OptimizePressyesBoth$97

Let’s imagine you’re running an email campaign in which you’re providing something of value to your subscribers. The last thing you want to do is link to a page that requires the reader to figure out where they are and then click another link to find the information they are looking for. That’s a poor user experience. Rather, you should direct visitors to a specific landing page designed for that specific purpose.

Top Landing Page Plugins for WordPress

PPC experts always speak to the importance of directing visitors to a landing page that resonates with the advertisement. Not only is the important for user experience, it’s also important to have ads that score well.

At this point, you might be wondering, what’s a landing page?

A landing page is essentially a page that you direct people to. More often than not they are directed from a PPC ad but they can also be sent to a landing page from an internal link, a URL in an email or a display ad in your sidebar. A landing page is built with a purpose in mind. It might be selling a product or service, attracting new subscribers, or having people sign up for a free trial.

The achievement of your objective, whatever it may be,  depends upon a well-designed landing page.

What Are the Elements of a Great Landing Page?

There are several elements that you need to consider. Your first objective is to make sure your landing page is consistent with the ad/banner or email campaign that you’re redirecting people from. You can always refer to sites like KISSMetrics or Unbounce to learn about the best elements to include in your pages depending upon your overall objective.

2. Thrive Architect / Thrive Landing Pages

Thrive Landing - Top landing page plugin

Though Thrive Themes markets them as two separate things, Thrive Architect and Thrive Landing Pages are actually two connected plugins. That is, if you purchase Thrive Architect, you also get access to Thrive Landing Pages, and vice versa.

So what makes this duo so great for creating landing pages on WordPress?

First, Thrive Architect by itself is one of the best WordPress page builders (read our Thrive Architect review for more on why this is).

It lets you build pages with a true drag and drop inline editing experience. No coding knowledge required.

And, unlike its predecessor Thrive Content Builder, Thrive Architect:

  • Gives you easy access to full-width layouts
  • Has tons of new styling options

There’s even plans to add built-in A/B testing, though that feature isn’t available at the time of updating this post.

So you’re starting from a great page building experience – but what does Thrive Landing Pages do?

Well, Thrive Landing Pages is a collection of 207+ landing page templates, all of which are completely editable with Thrive Architect.

Essentially, you import one of the landing page templates and then edit its content with Thrive Architect. You can even make layout tweaks as well, if desired.

And what’s especially neat about these templates is that some of them are themed together, which lets you build your entire sales funnel using Thrive Landing Pages and Thrive Architect.

    A pretty comprehensive list!

Still, I’d love to mention Forge, our own front-end page builder. It’s barely 3 months old but it already has all the features of a premium design solution:
