You may find it a bit astonishing, to know that I’m moving to Thesis Theme. As of the bloggers / marketers are dropping thesis theme and moving to Genesis Theme. I had a hard time choosing between Thesis Theme & Genesis Theme, but finally I made the decision to go with Thesis.
It doesn’t mean that I don’t use Genesis (or don’t recommend it), I do use it for most of my niche sites and will be using it for my new business project too, that I’m working on from last 2 months.
To give you a quick answer why I moved to thesis, is because I wanted to learn more about the theme frameworks.
Thesis Theme Framework
Before it, I’ve been using the Zilla Press theme designed by Orman Clark. It worked really well and is great theme for a small business blog. Another reason for moving to thesis is I like theme framework more than I like $30 / $35 themes.
Thesis Theme is really amazing and sleek theme that comes with a great support. It has fantastic Interface that allows you to rapidly make a great looking blog / site.
Thesis is little bit over pricy. The Developer’s license cost $164 which allows you to use thesis on unlimited sites and deploy it on client sites.
It also has a Personal single site option which costs $87 and you can upgrade to developer’s license for $77. Apart from it, you can buy custom built skins from third party developers like Kolakube, Thesis Awesome and Thesis Themes.
My experience with thesis is amazing, so far. I am using it from a year & half and never had any issues with it.
It comes with fantastic SEO options, good readability and loads much faster than other premium themes. In the coming weeks, I will be making some more changes and will be getting an new logo to match the new design.
