WPBeginner redesigns and revamps their website

WPBeginner redesigns and revamps their websiteWPBeginner, the WordPress resource site founded by Syed Balkhi, has a new look.

Syed completely redesigned the site using Genesis Theme Framework.

It’s a lot more than a new design though, as he totally reworked the site, with documentation and usability in mind.

The redesign includes – tighter look, new guides section, comments section and top floating bar (like TheNextWeb & TheVerge).

Check out this side by side comparison of the homepage — old on the left, new on the right:

The new design is very sharp and clean. Syed also used subtle effects in the background that makes the site look well-organized.

The site is powered by one of the best WordPress Theme Frameworks, Genesis.

In addition to the new site structure, he also added two new sections – “Freebies” and “Videos”. He’s also working on the responsive design that will be available soon for the smartphones.

Looks good, well laid out. However, I still think typography choice is not up-to-the-mark in wpbeginner.com But overall Genesis has the magic touch I guess. I also want to get going on with Genesis someday soon.

His new site looks great and much easier to navigate. Genesis is a great framework which i also use at the moment and offer some of the best themes on the planet.

If you’re a newbie, you can’t go past StudioPress themes built on the Genesis framework or Kolakube skins on Thesis who provide excellent support.
