Nice list. I still haven’t switched from akismet to GASP, but I think it’s time to check it out.

A couple other favorites of mine are Gravity Forms and Editorial Calendar.

      Hey Andrew,

It’s good to know that you’re finally switching to GASP.

Definitely those two are great plugins.

Thanks for stopping by and keep up the great work on WPSprout ;).

An alternative for contact and other forms is cforms II. It has received no coverage since it was pulled from the repository a few years back but I have been using for years and would not miss it. Get it from http://www.deliciousdays.com/cforms-plugin/

Query Posts by Justin Tadlock is an absolute must-have if you ned more control over what posts you’re showing in a widget.

      Hey Ovidiu,

cforms II contact form looks like a great plugin and it’s sad to see that the plugin only has 4,100 downloads. Going to include that plugin more often in my blog posts.

Query Posts is a great solution for those who don’t like using code.

Thanks for sharing your insights, Ovidiu.
