Yesterday I wrote a post about disabling and removing post revisions manually and many people ask for post revision plugins. In this post I’m going to show you 2 best WordPress plugins to removing post revisions.
WordPress by default creates revisions of your posts automatically. Whenever you save a page or post, the older version is retained so that you can revert it back at any time.
1. Revision Control

The plugin allows the user to set a site-global setting (Settings -> Revisions) for pages/posts to enable/disable/limit the number of revisions which are saved for the page/post. The user may change this setting on a per-page/post basis from the Revisions Meta box.
2. Better Delete Revisions

Better Delete Revision not only deletes redundant revisions of posts from your WordPress Database, it also deletes other database content related to each revision such meta information, tags, relationships, and more. Better Delete Revision is based on the old “Delete Revision” plugin but it is compatible with the latest version of WordPress (3.0.1) with improved features.
Which is the Best Plugin for Post Revisions? Do you use any plugin to disable post revisions?

I’ll have a crack at revision control. Cheers for the tip!
That’s great to hear Andy. Thanks for commenting.
I use Revision Control and that is a great plugin to keep your DB optimized…
Anyways, thanks for the share…
