Having social media buttons is a must for WordPress blogs, as it helps to get more retweets and shares. It plays a essential role, as it helps in getting more traffic and subscribers.
There’s no doubt that social media buttons increase the loading time and cause problems for your blogs performance. To get rid of this, there’s a cool script available on the web, Socialite – which makes it super easy to add the share buttons.
While I’m not using this script here on WordPress Kube, but I can say that this a good script / plugin and something you should give a try to.
TechCrunch is a perfect example of Socialite.js script can be beneficial.
What is Socialite.js?
Socialite.js, a 2KB javascript adds various techniques to lazy load the social share buttons only when its needed. It loads the social share buttons, when a user hover over to buttons. The script provides a very easy way to implement and activate a plethora of social sharing buttons — any time you wish. On document load, on article hover, on any event!
This little script won’t cause document rendering to hang while waiting for 50kb of social media.
How to Setup?
