Coming Soon page is one of the most important element of a successful website or product launch. These days every start-up website or blog uses a coming soon page with an optin box to attract leads before doing the final launch.
Coming soon page is mostly used to create hype and attract leads, so when you launches the website, you already have a existing user base. I did the same thing when I had to launch my Entrepreneurship blog.
In the past, creating a coming soon requires a lot of coding and designing skills but today creating a coming soon page is super easy. You can instantly make this happen by installing a coming soon theme or plugin. There are number of premium plugins and themes for creating an coming soon page. Check out my list of Free & Premium coming soon themes for WordPress.
Get the SeedProd Coming Soon Pro Plugin
In this article, I will show you how to create nice looking coming soon page in WordPress with no coding skills. The SeedProd Coming Soon Pro is developed by John Turner, the same guy who developed two popular free plugins – Ultimate Coming Soon Page and Ultimate Maintenance Mode.
The Coming Soon Pro is a fantastic plugin that comes with a lot of great options. I found this plugin easy to use & setup. The plugin is a perfect solution to build hype and community around your blog before it’s ready to be launched.
Examples of Coming Soon Pro
Below are few great examples of SeedProd. Most of the examples below you see is possible without knowing a scrap of code.
Creating a Beautiful Coming Soon Page with SeedProd
The first thing you’d need to do is to purchase the SeedProd, as it’s a paid plugin. After making the purchase, install and activate the plugin.
Once the plugin is installed, head over to “Coming Soon Pro” options page that you’ll found under the settings menu.
The first section of the plugin is General Settings which asks you to enter the API Key, select the status, add google analytics code and upload a favicon.
The next section is the “Coming Soon Options” where you can upload the logo, add a custom headline, detailed description about the site, connect with your auto responder service and enable social media buttons.
Coming Soon Options also allows you to add custom footer branding with a image and link.
And next we have a big coming soon style page where you’ll going to play with the look of the site, it includes background color or image, font color, shadow box options, add custom css to the page. One of the best feature of this plugin is that, it allows you to easily add the custom styles through the options page.
“Coming Soon Incentive and offers” is the section where you can offer your visitors incentives such as coupons codes, free ebook, free software, etc. in exchange for their email in your description.
Maintenance Mode is another cool feature that SeedProd plugin has. This option easily allows you to create an maintenance mode for your WordPress website in a few minutes. Though, there are a lot of great plugins available if you just want to set up a maintenance page for your website / blog.
Social Profiles can be displayed on the Coming Soon page through the “Social Profiles” page. Enter your social media profiles and set whether to display them or not in the Options page. It currently only allows Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Linkedin and Pinterest.
Last but not least – Advanced settings. The plugin has an advanced settings section where you can do some basic SEO and can insert code directly into the header and footer. Settings can be imported and exported in this section too, which is useful if you want to use the same settings on all your websites.

If you’re using SeedProd maintenance mode, then there is an option for Client View URL. This special url would allow the client to visit the actual site rather than seeing a coming soon or maintenance page. It also has the option to exclude specific URLs.
This plugin is a perfect solution for creating a coming soon or maintenance page for your WordPress website or blog. It’s perfect for creating hype and building mailing list before launching the website. The plugin has got everything that you would need to create a coming soon page.
