Hi Devesh,
Thanks for spending the time in writing this blog post. It was very informative and gave us some brilliant ideas for our account.
Great run-down Devesh and great timing for me – my slider app was ruining the formatting on my site. Going to follow your advice and find one. Any advice for a slider compatible with Thesis?
Glad you liked the post, Jim. I’d suggest using SoliloquyWP slider plugin, as it works very well with thesis theme (or any other theme framework).
Thanks so much for stopping by, Jim. Have a nice day.
Hi Devesh,
Wow, this is a thorough, comprehensive guide to slider plugins. Sliders make a home page look very professional. I am curious, though, do they slow the loading times for pages?
Thanks for your hard work on this amazing post!
Hi Carolyn,
So glad you found this post useful and you are absolutely right about the slider plugins. A good slider makes your blog look more professional and attractive.
Slider plugins don’t really slow down the blog and I’ve a good experience with the Soliloquy & SlideDeck plugins.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a fantastic comment, Carolyn. Have a fabulous day.

I don’t care about the creative transitions, all I want is a simple slider that can hold A LOT of images, so people can flip through ALL of our cake pics – and we have years of pics (one pic per cake). All of these seems to be limited to 3 – 5 pics.
I saw one once that held a lot, and it was done sort of like an accordion, where you could see what pics were coming up and which ones you had already seen.
Where can I find a slider like that?
You should give a try to SoliloquyWP plugin.
Thanks for stopping by, Eric.
